I also work with various charities, including Candlelighters, to provide families with memorial keepsakes. Candlelighters is a charity that supports families with young children who have cancer. By partnering with these charities, I am able to provide a meaningful and comforting way for families to remember their loved ones.
When I was just 14 years old my Dad sadly died from suicide, being the sentimental person I am I asked my step mother for one of his shirts, fast forward 11 years after his death I finally plucked up the courage to cut his shirt up. By all means that first bear is far from perfect, but its imperfectly perfect for so many reasons. That bear and the process taught me so much, about the sewing techniques, the embroidery and the care given for the whole process. I understand how special and sentimental all items of clothing are, so you can trust me when sending for clothes to be made into those special keepsakes.
